We will describe Branson weather by season helping you understand what to pack and what to wear. When we talk about the highs and lows, they are the mean. It is calculated by adding up all the values and then dividing the sum by the total number of values.
Spring (March-May): Unpredictable Weather
Weather to expect:
From March through May, Branson experiences mild temperatures throughout the day with the daily mean coming in around 50 degrees Fahrenheit in March, upper 50s in April, and the mid 60s in May. You can expect mornings and evenings to get a little chilly, sometimes dipping into the 30s in March. April and May’s mean daily lows become a little milder – raising into the 40s and 50s, respectively.
These three months are among the highest in average precipitation, so don’t be surprised if you encounter rain showers.

- Travel umbrella
- Comfortable walking shoes that can get wet
- Casual outfits for shows and dining
Extras to consider:
If you have season/environmental allergies, be sure to bring your allergy medications as these are among the highest pollen count months for the region.
Summer (June-August): Sun, Fun & Heat
Weather to expect:
These are the hottest months for Branson. You’ll experience daily means in the mid 70s and high temps in the 80s to 90s. Rain doesn’t come as often as it does in spring, but average precipitation still hovers around 4 inches per month.
What to pack:
- Breathable clothing like shorts, tank tops, and summer dresses
- Swimsuits for lakes or waterparks
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, hats
- Reusable water bottle
- Light evening layers for AC-heavy venues
Extras to consider:
You might want to bring a backpack or day bag to carry extra water or other necessities especially for theme parks or hiking spots.
Fall (September-November): Crisp Air & Colorful Views
Weather to expect:
September’s days still get pretty warm -reaching into the 80s – but the lows start to dip into the 50s in the mornings and evenings. October’s mean daily maximums are around 70 degrees Fahrenheit with lows in the upper 40s. November gets considerably cooler with highs sticking around the mid 50s and lows in the mid 30s.
September averages the second most precipitation – only to May – with about 5 inches of rain being common. October and November average nearly 4 inches of precipitation.
What to pack:
- Layers including jeans, long sleeves, and light jackets
- Comfortable walking shoes for trails or festivals
- Layers that transition well from day to night

Fall is colorful in Branson, so you might want to pack a camera to capture the beauty!
Winter (December-February): Christmas Magic & Cozy Vibes
Weather to expect:
Throughout the winter you can expect daily averages in the low to mid 30s with chances of snow and occasional ice.
What to pack:
- Warm coat, gloves, scarf, hat
- Sweaters and long pants
- Thermal layers if planning outdoor activities
Extras to consider:
Hand warmers might be useful if you want to travel around to see all of Branson’s famous Christmas lights and shows.
