3 corn mazes in Branson your family should visit this fall

It’s time for corn mazes in Branson and the nearby communities to start opening for residents and travelers alike!

There’s only one we could find actually within Branson, so two of these mazes are a little bit of a drive. However, the farms that have them also offer many more attractions and activities so the drives are worth the memories made!

Let’s get started with the one corn maze in Branson.

McKenna Family Farm’s hay bale maze in Branson

The McKenna Family Farm is bringing back their hay bale maze they started last year in lieu of a corn maze due to a lack of rain. The hay bale maze will be constructed out of 100 large bales of hay.

Also returning is a pallet maze. Although the McKennas’ mazes aren’t the norm, it didn’t seem to dampen fall spirits last year!

Along with the mazes, there will be:

  • Pumpkin patch
  • Hay ride through decorated woods
  • 30’x70’ bounce pillow
  • Smaller jump pad for younger children
  • Corn box (sand box filled with corn kernels)
  • Slides
  • Gerbil wheels (large circle you can roll in)

All activities are included in the price of admission, which is $7.50 for everyone 3-65. 66 and over is $3.75. Children two and under are free.

If you’re a fan of campfires (who isn’t?) you can also reserve campfire sites in two hour time slots. They cost $30 in addition to your paid admission. If you want to add on extra time, it’s $15 for each additional two hours.

You can even bring food to cook over the fire and you’ll have two picnic tables at your site to use and four bales of straw for additional seating.

McKenna Family Farm opens its pumpkin patch and fall festivities on Saturday, Sept. 24 and they will run through Oct. 30.

They are located 10 minutes north of Branson at 3265 State Hwy. F, Branson, MO  65616.

If you’re travelling to Branson on a weekend they are open and are also looking for somewhere to stay, Grand Oaks Hotel has availability and is a great, family-friendly hotel.

Campbell’s Maze Daze corn maze/haunted maze

Same as the McKennas, Campbell’s Maze Daze will begin their season on Saturday, Sept. 24.

This farm and corn maze is located in Clever, Missouri at 177 Carob Rd. Clever, MO 65631. It’s about an hour-long drive north from our hotel in Branson.

Campbell’s Maze Daze has a daytime corn maze that features a scavenger hunt. You find the clues in the maze and then find all the answers to the clues around the farm!

On Friday and Saturdays in October, the maze becomes “haunted” after dark until 11 p.m. (last admission 10 p.m.). It’s not recommended for children under 12. Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Guests older than 13 but under 18 will not be allowed to visit without a signed waiver of liability.

They also have additional activities which are included in the cost of your general admission:

  • Hayrides
  • Free baby pumpkin to kids 5-12
  • Pumpkin decorating area
  • Bounce houses
  • Tractor choo-choo train
  • Swings and fort
  • Live weekend entertainment such as magic shows and karaoke

There are also bonfire sites you are able to reserve. They are $30 and include firewood, skewers, one table, and chairs (subject to availability; they encourage you to bring your own).

You can either bring your own food or they do have hot dog and s’mores food packages you can buy at the farm along with additional concessions.

General admission prices are as follows:

  • Fridays from Oct. 7-28 are $10 in person, $8 online
  • Saturdays Sept. 24-Oct. 29 are $12 in person, $11 online (haunted maze opens Oct. 1)
  • Sundays Sept. 25-Oct. 30 are $10 per person

Children 4 and under are free. There is a military and senior (65+) discount of $1 off.

Exeter Corn Maze

Exeter Corn Maze has already started their fall festivities!

Outside of their corn maze, they’re known for sunflower fields, their apple orchard, and of course their pumpkin patch.

This one is another drive from Branson – about an hour and 20 minutes from our hotel.

Per their website, for the easiest and most convenient directions you should use this address: State Hwy MM, Exeter, Missouri 65647.

They say to continue following Hwy MM south until it comes to an end. Then, turn left at the stop signs. They have signs along the road to help you on your way.

However, once you arrive you realize why their slogan is, “It’s just more fun here.”
